"[A] plot to get us all into the outdoors...enjoying ourselves while building skills! --"Tactical Knives Magazine"

About the Author

Author Chris Lubkemann was born of missionary parents in Brazil and remembers his earliest attempts at woodcarving at age seven, deep in the Amazon rain forest of eastern Peru. His appreciation for wood and love for making things from it never stopped. His first forked-branch rooster hatched between his junior and senior years at college, and the hours spent whittling away actually helped pay for his education. Chris' work in the ministry has taken him to many foreign countries and throughout the United States. Wherever he has gone, he has always had a pocketknife close by with a handful of twigs and branches. So, the simple craft picked up more than 37 years ago continues to be shared and passed on to people from all over the world. Find out more about Chris at his website.
